Ensuring the health, safety and security of our employees, our customers and the public are fundamental priorities for ERGIL. Our Health, Safety and Environmental expectations are vital and integral elements of our business. They are embedded into our management systems with OHSAS 18001 Occupational Health and Safety Certificate sand processes and influence everything that we do.

 

Although our safety performance compares very favorably with international best practices within our industry sectors, we are taking our commitment to safety to a new level. We are actively reinvigorating our management systems and engaging our people, contractors and suppliers in the expectations and programs that we have to achieve zero harm. Training is the key to preventing accidents and incidents. Our employees receive extensive training on how to perform their jobs safely and properly,

 

The implementation of the OHSAS 18001 has commenced, the framework and expectations are fully developed and the supporting policies, standards and processes for our daily operations are being finalized ready for application. The system framework will:

 

1. Provide an excellent governance and reporting structure
2. Develop a culture and behaviors.
3. Facilitate the identification and transfer of best practice
4. Build on the existing business processes within company.
5. Provide a global mechanism for assessment, feedback and continuous improvement.
6. As an organization ERGIL wants to eliminate accidents and injuries to people in all aspects of its business; we recognize that this is a difficult goal but will strive to succeed.
